BCL is a fortnightly publication which notes significant decisions of New Zealand Courts, including all Supreme Court decisions. It also notes articles, all Acts and Regulations passed in the preceding fortnight and all Bills introduced in Parliament as well as cases to be reported in NZLR. A detailed cumulative index is published quarterly. BCL uses Laws of New Zealand subject headings for easy reference. With each issue, subscribers also receive Current Law Brief, a quick reference guide to the contents of each issue which can be distributed around the office.
Supplemented by Current Law Digest (BCLD), a looseleaf publication published 3 times a year (May, August and December), which consolidates BCL and indicates those cases noted in BCL that have been reported. BCLD removes the need for practitioners to plough through back issues of BCL for information on important unreported cases.
Every three years, the BCLD Bound Volume is published (BV). The BV is a bound book which contains all the BCL notes for the previous three years which remain unreported at the end of the three-year period, a table of cases noted, and a subject index. The next BV is due to production in mid-August 2008 and will cover unreported notes from 2005-2007, inclusive. Ideal for: Any legal practitioner or academic who wants to keep up to date with the most recent cases through the courts which are relevant to their area of interest.
