New Zealand Unreported Judgments (NZURJ) is New Zealand’s first database of searchable full-text judgments. The database comprises cases from the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, Privy Council, and the Māori Land Court. Practical and easy to use, NZURJ contains over 58,000 judgments and spans several years of New Zealand case law with full text of all judgments received from the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the Privy Council, the High Court, The Māori Land and Appellate courts and all ACC cases. There are also selected, key cases from the Employment Court, the Employment Relations Authorities, the Family Court, the Environment Court and some District Courts. As well as new cases (which have a 48 hour turnaround from the library receiving them), retrospective judgments are continuously being added to the database. Judgments can be located by case name, Court, Judge, parties, date, Court file number, and representation. Searches can also be made for precedents and legislation used in judgments.
NZURJ is a great accompaniment to NZ CaseBase.
