Find the latest cases without having to perform a
search
The 'Latest Legal Updates' section on the module
homepage provides you with a list of all the new cases and
legislation that are relevant to your practice area. Each update
has a brief summary of the case or Act/Regulation, a link to the
actual text and a link to the relevant guidance note.
Not sure whether to use the 'Read more about this from
LexisNexis' link or the 'Further reading' link within LexisNexis
Practical Guidance?
The 'Read More' links are available to
all Practical Guidance users regardless of their subscription to
LexisNexis. These links can be accessed from within the guidance
notes or from the Commentary tab, which reproduces all of the 'Read
More' links for a sub-topic and organises them by guidance note.
'Further Reading' links require you, the Practical Guidance user,
to have a subscription to LexisNexis NZ. These links can only be
accessed in a guidance note and will be opened in a new window if
you don't have a subscription to LexisNexis NZ.
Keeping track of legal changes
The 'What's New' section on the Practical
Guidance homepage is your go-to section to keep abreast of changes
in the law. If a case changes an existing legal principle, then our
authors, who are always on hand to provide updates, will amend any
guidance notes that are impacted by that decision.
A single control panel from which to access all
information in a number of ways
The Practical Guidance homepage provides a single
control panel that is easy to understand and use. It also
provides three flexible search options.
This intelligent and intuitive design and search functionality will ensure that you get to the right answer faster.
Checklists and guidance notes ensure you are on the
right track
With Practical Guidance you can access relevant
checklists at any time from within the topic overviews and
guidance notes. The links to the checklists are available from the
left-hand margin of the page. Many of our customers find the
checklists a great memory tool, which ensures they never miss a
step.
Content you can save and take with
you
Practical Guidance gives you the freedom to email, print
and download content from the modules via the icons on the
top right-hand corner of the page. This means easy reference,
sharing and storage of the cases, commentary, precedents, forms and
checklists that you need to refer to most frequently.
Taken a wrong turn? Go back to the homepage at any
time
Unlike with many traditional legal research products, with
Practical Guidance, you can easily navigate back
to the homepage at any time via the link on the top left-hand
corner of the screen.
